Ocean Viking in the North Sea

Ocean Viking was build and equiped at Aker Mek in Oslo with units from Rosenberg and Burmester. She drilled her first well (16/11-1) for Phillips in the North Sea July 14. 1967. The well was dry. More wells were drilled, some dry and some with a more positive response. But at 2/4 Ekofisk, - just before christmas 1969, it was a great breakthrough. More about the great event you will find here.
